Our weekly dinner plans are up and ready! Weekly meal planning for dinner helps my family a ton. Maybe it will help you as well.

In case you missed it, I’ve been sharing our weekly meal plans with you. Here is week 1 and week 2 in case you missed them. A little Mexican food is on the menu for this week. If you’re wanting to try to make your own Spanish rice, then here is a good recipe for that. It’s actually the one I use. Also, I shared the recipe for Ole’ Goodie Salsa here as well. It does take a little time and effort to make your own salsa. But the fresh taste outweighs any temporary taste from a jar. Of course, if you’re in a time crunch, just buy salsa in the jar and don’t feel guilty.

Speaking of feeling guilty, I wanted to let you know how we get by with a few meals per week.

One word – leftovers.

I know that now all people are crazy about eating leftovers and that’s okay.

Do what works for you.

My husband has never had a problem with this and we do it often. Lunch at home for us in normally leftovers from dinner. It ensures that all of our food is eaten and not wasted. Also, we get a good home cooked meal – for lunch! It saves money on eating out during the week too. Occasionally, we treat ourselves to Thai food takeout, Chipotle, and the like for lunch. And I LOVE those days. But for the most part it’s leftovers. It works for us.

Have a great week!
