Dry January is a growing trend, in which you drink zero alcohol, for the whole month. It’s a growing trend, that I can say, I really think is a good idea. I enjoy alcohol in moderation and always enjoy breaks to let my body detox. So, Brandon and I set out to participate in Dry January this month. We had a little help with having the virus for the first time too. We had zero desire to drink alcohol the first two weeks of the month so it’s been rather easy. So let’s keep the pace!
Honestly, I have really missed the ritual of having a glass of a wine or a cocktail so I decided it was time for a new mocktail recipe. This cranberry pomegranate mocktail only has three ingredients and it only takes about a minute to make. Talk about one minute mocktail! I found an Ocean Spray juice mix – Cran Pomegranate for the base, ginger beer, and fresh lime juice. Additionally, I added fresh mint and pomegranate fresh arils for garnish and texture.

Fresh pomegranate arils and mint make this a memorable mocktail. This refreshing mocktail features only three ingredients yet it’s still very flavorful. You’ll definitely more than just one.
Ingredients
- 4 ounces of Cran-Pomegranate Juice
- 1 ounce of lime juice
- Ginger Beer
- Fresh Pomegranate Arils
- Mint
- Ice
Instructions
In a cocktail shaker, add ice, cran-pomegranate juice, lime juice, and fresh mint. Shake and pour into glass with ice. Fill with ginger beer. Garnish with mint and pomegranate fresh arils. Enjoy!
When there’s no alcohol involved in a drink, it really forces you to get creative. The flavor profile can easily go wrong. I find less is best. Less ingredients allows the flavor profiles to not be overwhelming. I’ve definitely had to restrain myself because I really have been enjoying this drink. The pomegranate arils are fun to chew on too, plus they are actually good for you too.
This is a year-round drink but is especially helpful if you choose not to drink alcohol, for whatever reason. If you want to turn it into a cocktail, then I’d add one ounce of vodka or rum to the recipe. Do what works for you and as always, let me know if you have questions, comments, and report back if you try this mocktail.
