Spring starts March 20 and it cannot come soon enough. You already know how much I dislike winter. Just give me summer all the time! Believe it or not, we’ve had a real winter in Louisiana. We even had a little snow before it was technically winter and now the cold has set in. My wardrobe is not even setup to handle the weather. My point…I can’t wait until spring and I already know when it will be here. Ha! I need to wear my flip-flops again, feel the sun, and want to drink my favorite drinks outdoors.
Since we’ve been stuck indoors (not quite but almost) for what seems like years, we’ve been forced to try new things in the kitchen. Grapefuit Moscow Mules, white wine sangria, and even “Hurricane Punch” have all come out of this winter I can’t stand. I’m feeling so confident that when springs starts in March, I’ll be ready. I can’t imagine I’ll even have any new recipes to share with you.
When it comes to cocktails, 9 1/2 times out of 10 it’s already been done before. But no one has done it like you so make it anyway. That’s our motto.
In business, there is always room for competition.
I know you didn’t come here for business advice, so I’ll get on with on what I wanted to share. It’s that lovely pink drink I’m holding up above. We call it “The Pink Drink” and it does not disappoint. It features KINKY® Pink Liqueur and ginger beer. Yeah for ginger beer in anything!
The Pink Drink
This “pink drink” features an awesome fruit-infused liquer, Kinky® Pink, and is almost a Moscow Mule variation. It’s refreshing without being overly sweet. Garnish with lime rolls and your favorite straw for an awesome cocktail.
- Total Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 ounces KINKY® Pink Liquer
- 1 ounce Lime Juice
- 4 ounces Ginger Beer
Instructions
- Rim glass with pink or red sugar. Fill a glass with ice and add all ingredients.
To me, it tastes like a Moscow Mule, but since it doesn’t have regular vodka as an ingredient, we didn’t name it a pink mule. But you could split the liqueur up with vodka and get a pink Moscow Mule. But for this post, we’re calling it “The Pink Drink”.
Where do you find the pink kinky? And what kind of alcohol does it have in it?
Brandon informed me that he got it from Rouses on the east side.
Ooooooohhh yummy! I love the pink sugar around the rim! So stinking yummy. I love all types of drinks, but not really a beer lover. Can you really taste the beer in it?

Arie, well it’s ginger beer, what’d you normally put in a Moscow Mule. Ginger beer does not have alcohol in it but it does still have a unique taste. It’s a mixer. When ginger beer is mixed with other flavors it’s a nice taste. I use it often in drinks for carbonation and a “bite”.
