Do you like the idea of a smoothie but are not quite sure how to pull it off? Here are some ideas on what to put in a smoothie and also the best blender for smoothie making.
We recently started incorporating smoothies into our daily routine. It’s really fun to get the kids involved in making them, and they really do taste good. With the right ingredients, smoothies can also be a healthy snack. If you follow us on Instagram, you’ve probably seen some healthy choices we’ve been trying to make. Making smoothies is one of those healthy choices that has been easy to keep up with. Here are some of the things we put in our smoothies along with the blender that gets the job done.
Please know that you will need a good blender to speed up the process of making smoothies. I started off trying to use my “been having since I got married” blender and it just wasn’t cutting it. The blades were probably really dull. It was fine for making salsa and such, but not for blending a smooth drink. So, I made it a point to buy a blender made for smoothies. We purchased the Magic Bullet Blender and it was the best decision ever!
What I love about the Magic Bullet Blender is that it’s still a blender and can make other great food. So far, we only used it for smoothies, but I know soon we’ll use it for other recipes. One more thing that’s great is that it comes with “ready-to-drink” cups and lids. Blend your smoothies ingredients in your cup, screw your lid on, and add a Pretty Paper Straw. You’re ready to go! Here’s the list that will have you in love with smoothies in no time!
Magic Bullet Blender
Frozen Mixed Fruit
Frozen Berry Fruit
Vanilla Greek Yogurt
A combination of some of the items will make the best smoothie for you. Don’t feel limited by this list! If you like bananas, add them! We don’t like bananas so you won’t find them on our smoothie-making list. This is what our family prefers taste-wise. We’ll share some of our smoothies recipes soon. Happy smoothie-making!!
